A pure, unblended ripe pu'erh from Yunnan, China. This is pu'erh in its traditional form — dark, rich, earthy, and deeply grounding. Ripe pu'erh undergoes an accelerated fermentation process that gives it a smooth, woody flavour without the sharpness of younger teas.
It's an acquired taste if you're used to lighter teas, but once it clicks, it becomes the tea you crave when you need to feel rooted. Low acidity, gentle on the stomach, and naturally supportive of digestion.
Moderate caffeine. Brewing: 2–3g per 200ml. Water at 95–100°C (boiling is fine). Steep for 3–5 minutes. Excellent for multiple re-steeps — the flavour evolves with each round.
Why I chose this
If the Berry Pu'erh is the accessible introduction, this is the real thing. No fruit, no blending — just the tea. I drink this when I want something that says "slow down" without any sweetness softening the message.
